OFFICIAL TITLEHOLDER PHOTO SHOOT
Sunday, May 4th

Today our girls got down to work as they spent a LONG, ten-hour day in Gainesville!  First up was our official titleholder photo shoot with Rob Osiecki of Conte Bosch Studios.  (We will have all of    the official photos up on the girls' pages as soon as possible!)  After almost 3 1/2 hours in front of the camera, it was off to grab a quick lunch and then over to the Beauty Loft for a make-up seminar.

After the girls were finished, they were given their goody bags and then it was back                      to the house to meet with Jude (our fitness trainer)!

Finally, after almost two hours with Jude, the girls were given a break and we took the               opportunity to wish Kelly & Jude a Happy Birthday!!!

ART & SOUL
Thursday, April 24th

Last Thursday, Brittney made her first official appearance as Miss North Central FL 2009 at the 3rd Annual Art & Soul Auction.  All proceeds went to Kimberly's Cottage, the Marion County Children's Advocacy Center's response to child abuse.  All artwork that was auctioned off was painted by children from Kimberly's Cottage, and Brittney had the honor of presenting each piece of artwork on stage as it was bid on.

MISS USA PAGEANT
Friday, April 11th

This weekend, we traveled out to Las Vegas with our current Miss Alachua County USA, Lindsey Bolender, and our Marion County titleholders, Lucette Pierre-Louis and Kelly Haffner. There, we also joined up with our Miss Marion County Teen USA '08, Jackie Raulerson, and Miss North Central FL USA runner-up, Brittney Castles. Our girls all had a fabulous time at the pageant and in Vegas, and a couple were even able to attend the VIP afterparty at Planet Hollywood where they met the new Miss USA, several of the Miss USA Contestants and a few of the celebrity judges. We will have additional photos up soon!!!

Spring Arts Festival

Saturday & Sunday, April 5th & 6th

This weekend, our Alachua County titleholders, Brookell Barber and Lindsey
Bolender, volunteered their afternoons to help out in the Kids' Art Jungle at
the Spring Arts Festival.  Known as one of the three largest annual events in
Gainesville, the weekend was a time for local artists, as well as artists from all
around the country, to gather to display their art and talent.  Our girls had an
amazing time working with the kids to create artwork of their own, and also
had the chance to personally meet some of our local artists!
